Is Lemon bad for your skin?


Lemon can be used as a skin astringent as it helps motivate your pores to close and your skin to tighten which results in giving back a smoother skin. Lemons also have antiseptic properties which help exfoliate dead skin cells and aid in fighting dandruff and pesty flakes.

Is it good for the skin?

No, it's not good for your skin

Why?

It can cause permanent damage to your skin because lemon juice can change the natural pH of your acid mantle, potentially causing skin irritation, hyper pigmentation and sensitivity to the sun. The worst and most serious side effect of it is a chemical b.urn. The most common side effect is skin irritation and due to its level of acidity, you might experience excessive dryness, redness and peeling of you skin

Its not like it's totally bad to the skin! No. You can apply lemon juice and few drops of honey to your skin then wash it off after few minutes. After all, It's a good remedy for blackheads and dark spots but its not suitable for sensitive skin
